I have to make people background check constantly because of my work. I've just found too many online sites to explore, some are good, some are bad, but I haven't had too much time for comparing everything so currently I'm using couple of sites for the task.
For general people search I use
Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts site to get an idea of county based free public records. It requires some research time to find courts public records online, but most of them have it.
I also use some paid services, for example
InfoRegistry and
DataDetective plus
ReversePhoneCheck and often found them worth of money. That's actually the main reason I'm writing this, I hope forum is right palce to ask... What do you recommend to use for background checks? I use them to verify past employment. I speak with the supervisor the applicant named in the employment application, if they neglected to name a supervisor, I ask for Human Resources. Many companies will only verify if an individual has worked for them, and what their dates of employment were. Others, especially if you are able to speak with the supervisor, will answer more direct questions about attitude, job performance, attendance, etc.
You know this is a huge work to do offline so its really helpful to have an online access to the
courts records.
Oh, the most recent site I found was Spokeo, anyone used its commercial version?
